Side Effects: While SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) like Escitalopram are generally less sedating and have fewer antimuscarinic and cardiotoxic effects compared to tricyclic antidepressants, they can still cause some side effects. These may include gastrointestinal issues such as nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and constipation. Some individuals may also experience anorexia and weight loss, while others may have increased appetite and weight gain.
The recommended dosage for Fertility 25 is to take one tablet three times daily, either before or after a meal.
Contraindications: Fertility 25 should not be taken by individuals with a known hypersensitivity to Escitalopram, Citalopram, or any of the drug's inactive ingredients. Additionally, it should not be used concurrently with monoamine oxidase inhibitors or pimozide.
The use of Escitalopram, an SSRI, during the third trimester of pregnancy should be carefully considered by a physician, weighing the potential risks and benefits. Escitalopram is passed through human breast milk, so the decision to continue or discontinue nursing or Escitalopram therapy should be made after considering the risks to the infant and the benefits of treatment.
Fertility 25 should be used with caution in individuals with epilepsy, especially if seizures are poorly controlled. If convulsions develop, discontinuation of the product may be necessary. Caution is also advised in patients with a history of mania, cardiac disease, diabetes mellitus, angle-closure glaucoma, and when used in conjunction with medications that increase the risk of bleeding or in individuals with a history of bleeding disorders.
Fertility 25 should be stored at room temperature, between 30° to 32°C, and protected from excessive heat.
